Sturgis Downtown has some great shops, Lowry’s Bookstore, Five Lakes coffee shop,
Brush & Hook Studio-arts & crafts store offering activities for kids and adults. Wings Etc. restaurant is located downtown, as well as Freakin Sweets for donuts/ice cream and treats. Downtown also hosts many activities and festivals downtown throughout the year. 

Sturgis Indoor Golf on W US-12 - with a choice of 90 different golf courses to play

Deadwood Disc Golf at Cade Lake - disc golf for teens

Strand Movie Theater on W Chicago Rd - movies for children and teens, and don’t forget about our outdoor family movies offered during the summer months

Easter Egg Hunts - two or three organizations offer them at Easter time; 

Safety Town at Wall Elementary School - a miniature version of the City of Sturgis w/roads, sidewalks, buildings, and working stop lights and crosswalk lights - our local police, fire, and emergency personnel help children learn proper pedestrian and bicycle safety on a realistic training ground, as well as bus, internet, and personal safety - there is a two week summer training program for students entering kindergarten. A unique experience!

The Doyle Community Center located on Franks Ave - offers softball, basketball, tennis, volleyball, indoor soccer, floor hockey, dodgeball, flag football, fitness classes, aerobics, dance, yoga, martial arts, an indoor walking/running track, racquetball, with 4 multipurpose sports’ courts, 6 indoor pickle-ball courts, and 2 outdoor sand volleyball courts, along with fitness and weight lifting equipment.

Campus Life Youth for Christ located on W US-12 - offers a youth center and special day, week-end and week-long excursions to such places as animal farms, water parks, Warren Dunes, Michigan Adventure, Airborne Adventure Park, and bowling alleys. They also offer lake days where there is kayaking, pontooning, swimming, and paddle boarding, as well as offering spike ball, football, music, and various group activities for fun and socializing.

Amigo Center-located just North of Sturgis near Perrin Lake- offers outdoor/environmental day programs, nature study programs, and four weeks of day camp where there is arts and crafts, cookouts, fishing, swimming, burger bashes, pontoon picnics, canoeing, archery, low rope courses, a chance to explore nature, and cabin time.

Camp Fort Hill located near Klinger Lake - offers 5 weeks of day camp along with overnight camping which both offer hiking, fishing, archery, nature trails, a nature center, and water activities in Lake Tamarack, such as swimming, boating, and water front games.

Rouch World located off N M-66 - an off-road park and event center which offers fun for those four-wheel drivers, camping and a phenomenal heavy equipment playground where kids can ride, drive, and operate real construction equipment.

Cade Lake County Park - which has a 32 acre private lake within a 98 acre park setting, of which 53 acres are wooded. There are campsites, campfire rings, picnic tables, BBQ grills, a picnic pavilion, a playground, a volleyball court and an indoor game room with a camp store. There is a sandy beach along with fishing, fish cleaning stations, row boats, and kayaks. There are also trails for hiking and an 18 hole Deadwood Disc Golf Course along with restrooms and showers.

Adventure Club at Thurston Woods Park - for ages 6-12 - runs June, July, thru mid-August with two choices - 9 until noon or 1 - 4.  The children participate in art/crafts, sports’ games, scavenger hunts, water activities, and field trips. They also enjoy Trojan Timbers and guest speakers, especially the firemen when they bring their water hose on water day.

Local Parks: 26 acre Oaklawn Terrace w/a zip line; 27 acre Thurston Woods Park w/Trojan Timbers; 19.5 acre Franks Park w/a state of the art sports’ complex; Langrick Park w/tennis, handball, basketball, and sand volleyball courts; the Free Church Park for concerts and Santa’s house; and Memorial Park. All of our parks have state of the art playground equipment, as do all of our elementary schools.

Sturgis Community Pool, which offers youth swim lessons, swim clubs, diving clinics, the Stingrays Swim Team, and summer recreation swimming.

Softball and baseball complexes and outdoor tennis courts and basketball courts, along w/a skateboard park.

Sturgis Public Library- which offers story time and fun activities (as well as thousands of books to read).

Sturgis Center for the Arts - concerts, art shows (local student artwork), Family Game Nights, comedians, etc.

Sturgis Public Schools offer softball, baseball, basketball, tennis, volleyball, soccer, bowling, floor hockey, competitive cheer, sideline cheerleading, golf, wrestling, cross country, track, powerlifting, swimming and diving, along w/opportunities to be in choir, band and/or orchestra, plays, musicals, debates, government activities, building and trades, and workshops (woodworking, etc.), teen dances, as well as a variety of clubs and competitions (such as math, etc.). 

Many Local Churches- youth groups and activities for all ages.
